David graduated in Mathematics and has been involved in a wide range of Health and Fire studies since joining ORH in 2006.
On Health studies his work has mainly involved access and travel time modelling to inform option appraisals for the potential reconfiguration of acute hospital services. He has also worked on impact assessment modelling for implementing new treatment pathways for heart attack and acute stroke patients.
David has also taken a key consulting role in several ORH Fire and Rescue Service studies including West Midlands, Strathclyde and Cambridgeshire. He is an expert user of ORH’s simulation and optimisation models as these are applied in FRS studies.
ORH undertook a national study on ‘co-responding’ practice and potential in 2008 for the Department for Communities and Local Government. David took a key role in the research and analysis for this project.
