Jon graduated in Mathematics (BSc) and since joining ORH has focused on Health and Ambulance studies, where he has been involved in both the analysis and the modelling.

On Health studies he has primarily undertaken modelling work on the ambulance and patient journey  implications of hospital reconfiguration options (eg, in Hertfordshire).

On Ambulance studies his work has included demand and resource matching for emergency responses, evaluating the measures required to meet targets under call connect, and modelling call-traffic flow and staffing patterns in emergency control centres (eg, in the East of England).

Jon has also contributed to the development of models for evaluating options for location policy in ambulance services, including the ‘host and satellite’ regime compared to traditional station cover.
